Aftercare

Your hair, held to a higher standard

Care isn’t an extra step.
It’s what keeps everything aligned: texture, tone, longevity.

Follow it, and the hair holds its shape, tone, and movement. Ignore it, and it shows quickly.

Maintenance

Maintenance is not optional. It’s structural.

  • Follow your scheduled maintenance. Delays create tension at the root and can compromise your natural hair.
  • Sleep with a satin pillowcase or cap. Cotton pulls moisture and increases friction.
  • Do not attempt adjustments yourself. Even small shifts can affect placement.
  • Avoid tinted products (self-tan, sunscreen, makeup) coming into contact with lighter extensions.

Washing

  • Wash at least twice a week using good quality and appropriate products for your hair type.
  • Apply shampoo on scalp only. Clean along the direction of the wefts. No scrubbing.
  • Condition from mid-lengths to ends only.
  • Use a treatment mask weekly, avoiding attachments.
  • Avoid very hot water as it dries the hair.
  • If washing at night, dry fully before sleeping.
  • After pool or ocean exposure, rinse immediately to remove residue.

Styling

  • Heat tools are fine (up to 200°C with) thermal protection.
  • Use soft bristle brushes. Start from the ends and work upwards.
  • Detangle hair before bed. A loose braid or satin cap reduces tangling.
  • Oil the ends lightly as needed.

Extracare

Surgery

  • Remove extensions prior. If not possible, keep hair in a loose braid to prevent matting.

Travel / Holidays

  • Do maintenance before leaving.
  • If you won’t maintain it properly, removal is safer than neglect.

Pool / Beach

  • Chlorine and sunscreen can alter tone.
  • Rinse immediately after swimming.
  • Apply leave-in before exposure to reduce dryness.
  • Heat protectant also protects from sun exposure
  • Use products that help protect hair before swimming
